Meet the Team

Suzanne Starr, DVM, CCRP | veterinarian and owner

Suzanne graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 and completed an internship at the Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. She has practiced general veterinary medicine in the greater Boston area for 8 years prior to opening Paws In Motion. She has completed the IVAS course for veterinary acupuncture and is certified in canine rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee.   Outside of work, Suzanne is currently on the board of the MVMA Charities.  She also volunteers through the Pets And People Foundation with her therapy dog, Chipper, to visit hospitals, nursing homes and schools.  Her favorite activities are spending time with her 3 dogs.

Patty Sanclemente | Massage Therapist

Patty is a graduate of the Bancroft School of Massage with a certification in Small Animal Massage Therapy.  She has had a lifelong passion and love for animals and animal welfare, and volunteers her time and services to local rescue and shelter organizations.  It was her senior aged Golden Retriever mix, Amber, who inspired her to learn animal massage, when she started showing signs of her age.  She would look forward to her nightly massages, get completely relaxed, and then wake with a burst of energy and the friskiness of a pup!  Massage gave Amber the comfort and relief that she needed, and now other animals enjoy the same benefits through her work.  Patty shares her life with her husband, two dogs, four cats, and the occasional “foster”.

Lisa M. Hoogasian-Klein, PT, CCRP, CCFT, ABCDT /Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner

Lisa is a 1996, Physical Therapy, honors graduate of Northeastern University’s, Boston Bouve’ College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.  After 20+ years of human physical therapy practice, primarily in orthopedics and sports medicine with a strong focus in manual therapy and exercise, she elected to change species and pursue additional specialties. She is a 2014 graduate of Animal Behavioral College’s Canine Obedience program, (ABCDT) a 2016 graduate of the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine’s Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) program, and a 2017 graduate of the Certified Canine Fitness Program, (CCFT.) She also holds certifications in canine massage and nutrition. She is currently working on a manual Canine certification, (CCMT) also through UT. When she’s not treating dogs, she serves as a clinical supervisor/ adjunct professor in MCPHS University’s DPT program, at Aspire- Seven Hills.  She loves the ocean, her Maui “ohana” and spending time with her husband and dog, Koa.

Ashley DeCicco

Ashley grew up having a variety of animals from cats to exotics. After attending medical assistance school, she worked at a kennel in Cambridge for 3 years. She then moved on to join the Blue Pearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital as a receptionist.   In October 2018, Ashley joined Paws In Motion. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her nephew and her 4 dogs and 2 cats.
