Gizmo

Gizmo is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi who is 7 years old.  In April of 2010 Gizmo had surgery for a herniated disk on his back and came through it with flying colors.  We chose to take him to Paws in Motion for physical and hydro therapy.  We credit a lot of his amazing recovery to Paws in Motion’s owner Dr. Suzy Starr and her assistant Susan!!  Without the exercises Dr. Suzy and Susan gave us to do with Gizmo as well as the hydrotherapy, I don’t think Giz would have done as well as he did.  He was back to normal in just a month or so.

In July of 2010 he had another disk herniation.  This time he wasn’t as lucky.  He came through the surgery well, however, he had lost the use of his back legs.  We brought him back to Paws in Motion for more physical and hydro therapy.  By Mid-August, he was starting to try to walk.  From then on he continued to improve by leaps and bounds.  We continued the hydro therapy and, with each visit, Gizmo continued to improve.

It is now February of 2011 and Gizmo is doing GREAT!  He is walking and running, chasing his little sister Laci around the back yard. 

Gizmo was very happy to come back to visit Dr Suzy and Susan today for a hydrotherapy fitness visit.  We can’t say enough about Paws in Motion!!!! They helped us keep our little “Giz Man” happy and healthy and most of all walking running and just being a doggy again :-)” William & Patti from Marlboro, MA  2011
